Who can apply for the internship?
The internship is open to high school students with an interest in content creation, social media, or learning about running a creative business. Students must have reliable transportation to the studio.
What is the time commitment?
Interns are expected to work 4 to 6 hours per week, either in the studio or remotely, depending on tasks. The program runs for 3 to 4 months, with flexible scheduling to accommodate school and extracurricular activities. Each student creates their own working schedule.
What will interns be doing during the program?
Interns will assist during photography shoots, capture behind-the-scenes content, help with social media management, conduct interviews with fellow students, and creatively direct a photoshoot at the end of the internship. They'll also create content, curate images, and participate in workshops about photography and business. The fall internship will launch a publication for students, by students.
Do interns need to be photographers to join?
Nope! You don't have to be a photographer to join. Our program goes beyond photography — you'll gain hands-on experience in the business side of creative work, from client communication and marketing to event support and team collaboration. All you need is curiosity, creativity, and the drive to learn. We'll provide training and mentorship every step of the way.
How will interns be compensated?
Interns will receive a certificate of completion and a full high school senior photography session valued at $1,500.
What should interns bring to the studio?
Interns should bring their phone, a notebook, a laptop or tablet if they have one, and a positive attitude.
What skills will students gain?
Interns will learn content creation techniques, social media strategy, communication skills, business processes, and customer service. They'll also gain valuable experience in teamwork and creative direction.
Will there be an opportunity for parents to learn more?
Yes, we always welcome parents to join their kids during their time with us or schedule a call to ask questions. We love when parents want to meet the team, tour the studio, and ask anything on their mind. Dates and details will be shared during the application process.
What happens if a student needs to miss a session?
We understand that school and personal commitments come first. Interns can coordinate with the studio manager to make up for missed sessions or work on tasks remotely when possible.
